Many people try to use button or coin cell batteries for watch batteries. Unforunately, despite being used in calculators, computers and hearing aids, and while they will work in watches, it is not recommended to use them.
Watch batteries are built to much a higher specification to reduce the risk of the battery leaking or rupturing inside your watch.
